Little loom or frame loom weaving isn’t only tapestry or plain weaving. You will learn that the size of your loom doesn’t have to restrict your weaving. But you will also learn about creating sustainable textiles. Also, Fiona reminds us that we need to get back to natural fibers, undyed or naturally dyed, to lower the environmental impact. Fiona Daly shows us eight ambitious projects in her new book, Weaving Big on a Little Loom.
Small loom weaving (my definition) is weaving on almost anything available. It can be a potholder loom, cardboard loom, tapestry loom, or even sticks.
Tapestry weaving lets you be more free-form with your weaving or you can follow a cartoon.
The front cover states, “A Complete Guide to Mastering the Techniques for Making Images with Yarn,” and the back cover states, “A Guided Journey from Yarn to Art.” These statements are an excellent description of what you will experience with this book.
