Why do you need a pie cutter?

A cutter serves a specific purpose in the kitchen, helping you achieve evenly sliced portions of pies or other desserts. Here are some reasons why a pie cutter can be useful:

  1. Even Slices: A pie cutter ensures that each slice is of uniform size, avoiding the problem of some slices being larger or smaller than others. This is especially useful when serving guests or family members.
  2. Portion Control: It helps portion control, ensuring everyone gets a fair share without debates or discrepancies.
  3. Convenience: Cutting a pie neatly into slices can be challenging, especially if the filling is soft or if the crust is thick. A pie cutter makes this task much easier and more precise.
  4. Versatility: Pie cutters can be used for various desserts, not just pies. Whether it’s cakes, brownies, or other baked goods, a pie cutter with a sturdy construction can handle different types of treats.
  5. Time-Saving: Using a pie cutter is generally quicker and more efficient than trying to eyeball and cut slices individually.
  6. Professional Presentation: When entertaining guests or presenting your desserts, pie cutters create a more polished and professional appearance.
  7. Easy Handling: The two handles on the pie cutter provide a secure grip, making it easier to apply even pressure while cutting through the dessert.
  8. Stainless Steel Construction: The rust-resistant stainless steel construction ensures the durability and longevity of the pie cutter.

In summary, a cutter simplifies the process of slicing desserts, ensuring precision, consistency, and a more enjoyable experience for both the baker and those enjoying the treats.

How often have you baked the perfect pie, but cutting the slices was problematic? You had fat and thin slices.

This pie cutter helps you cut six perfect pie slices to serve your guests.

There are several sizes of cutters available for purchase. I chose this size because we only needed six slices. If you want smaller slices, there is an eight-slice model.

This slicer works for both savory and sweet desserts. I read that one baker uses it to score her pizza. She cuts the slices with a pizza cutter; everyone gets a uniform slice.

I have used it to slice Schwan’s pies and created uniform slices.

Eliminate slicing errors and portion debates between your family members. Cut perfect slices every time.

The rust-resistant stainless steel cutter will easily slice through dense pies, cakes, brownies, and extra-thick crusts. Plus, with two convenient handles, the slicer provides a secure grip.

I don’t know why I waited so long to purchase a pie cutter. Take the guesswork out of your slicing, too.

What I Would Add

I do wish they made a cover for the bottom of the cutter. The blades are very sharp. I have been storing the pie cutter in a plastic bag to help protect surfaces and my hands.

Since I first wrote this review of slicers, Mike and I have become more aware of our food. I have been following the Keto lifestyle, and Mike has been eating his favorite foods. Mike does like his after-dinner sweets–cake and pie.

To keep him happy but healthier, I decided to reduce our servings. The answer was to cut the pie into smaller pieces. That is where the 8-slice cutter came into use.
