UV Stripes T-Shirt Scarf Weaving Pattern

Darn Good Yarn has several interesting weaving patterns. The pattern UV Stripes T-Shirt Scarf Weaving Pattern caught my eye because I had bought some of the T-shirt yarn for a twining project. I didn’t like my twining project so that I will repurpose the yarn for this pattern. The good news is that the pattern is currently on sale!https://www.darngoodyarn.com/products/uv-stripes-t-shirt-scarf-weaving-pattern

Food/Recipes

This week I am sharing our two favorite new recipes we tried this week. One recipe is sort of quick to fix, and the other one cooks all day while you run your errands or at work. They are not my recipes, but I did tweak them a little.

Bangers and Mash with Stout Onion Gravy

A recipe from the British Isles is a quick and easy dinner. I used Johnsonville smoked bratwurst. For the mashed potatoes, I used yellow potatoes and substituted heavy cream for the buttermilk. I did not make the onion gravy because we decided we wanted our sausages on the side.

Slow Cooker Busy Day Stew

Beef Stew

This is not your regular beef stew. We decided it is a cross between vegetable soup and beef stew. The  1/2 package of taco seasoning mix is a great addition. I used fire-roasted diced canned tomatoes and one of my favorite frozen garlic cubes. In addition to the fresh diced onion, I also added one of my favorite frozen onion cubes. The only place I have been able to find the frozen cubes are at Walmart. They now have several herbs in the frozen cubes. They really add flavor, and you don’t have to worry about them drying up or going bad.

I am looking forward to your comments on the new format and content.
