RECYCLED CRAFTS

S’mores Valentines

Kimberly at A Night Owl.com has created at S’mores Valentine’s mason jar that I think you will like. All you need are Valentine M&Ms, marshmallows, and Goldfish graham crackers and a mason jar with a handle. She has a free printable for the finishing touches.

CROCHET

Crochet Temperature Afghan

It seemed like everywhere I visited this week, the talk turned to a crochet temperature blanket. In case you haven’t heard about the temperature blanket, I found this Complete Guide by Lucky Kate Crochet.

For a year, you crochet a row a day in the color relating to a temperature chart.

KNITTING

Gray Days Gansey by Hope Vickman

The designer describes this sweater as:

Gansey-style sweaters similar to this one have been worn by fisherfolk for hundreds of years. Densely knit and uniquely patterned, this sweater calls to mind images of the fishing line unspooling and the waves lapping on a gray and dreary day. This unisex sweater is knit in the round from the bottom up. Sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round from the shoulder down. Stitch patterns are written and charted.

FOOD/RECIPES

This week found us grabbing food on the way home, eating quick-to-fix meals, or eating leftovers. One night I tried a new recipe by a fellow food blogger, Ricki of SeveralPeoplesMama.com.

This recipe does take an hour to bake, but it is quick to throw together. Actually, by the time the oven was at the correct temperature, I had the pan ready for the oven. Mike gave this recipe a thumbs up, too.

Saturday Greetings Final Thoughts

Did you like this post? Please like it below and share it on social media. If you missed last week’s post, just click here:  Saturday Greetings.

I wrote a product review on Headlamp Flashlight. I didn’t know how useful this item would be until I needed to use it. Every crafter’s home should have one.

Have a great week!

UNTIL NEXT WEEK–
